Mountain View Yurt

Our newest Yurt is scheduled to open in late summer 2008. To get to this Yurt, the hike in is just under a ½ mile from the check-in area. This Yurt is situated on our private trail network on the hillside and looks out at Pleasant Mountain (Shawnee Peak Ski Area) and Brownfield Bog. The access trail to this Yurt is at the bottom of the field and meanders through the woods about ¼ mile. Then you turn right up a very gradual incline and go another ¼ mile and the Yurt is on the left. All furnishings in this Yurt are handmade by Patrick @ FMY.

The Birches Yurt

Our first Yurt opened in fall of 2004. In a grove of birches, this Yurt sits up on a knoll above the brook. The trail to the Yurt is 1/10 of a mile and leaves immediately from the check-in parking area.

Tyler Brook Yurt

Our second Yurt opened in October 2006. The trail to the Yurt is 1/10 of a mile and is situated along side Tyler Brook. This trail leaves immediately from the check-in parking area.

Need more than 1 yurt?
The Birches Yurt and Tyler Brook Yurt are approximately 600 feet apart with an adjoining trail in the woods and is most suitable for larger groups needing more than 1 yurt. Remember that the Yurts are a 1 room environment with 1 porta-potty each. The round shape makes it quite spacious inside but maximum capacity should be no more than 6 adults or 6-8 people with children.

Mountain View Yurt is on the opposite side of the property and is ½ mile away.
